  • 1 package gluten-free penne pasta
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Crushed red pepper flakes for garnish (optional)


  1. Cook the gluten-free penne pasta according to the package instructions in a large pot of salted boiling water. Cook until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside.

  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and chopped sun-dried tomatoes, and sauté for 1-2 minutes, or until the garlic is fragrant and golden brown.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and pour in the heavy cream. Stir well to combine with the garlic and sun-dried tomatoes.

  4. Add the cooked gluten-free penne pasta to the skillet, tossing gently to coat the pasta evenly with the creamy sauce.

  5. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh basil leaves. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly and the pasta is heated through.
