Ingredients:
- 1 package oven-ready gluten-free lasagna noodles
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 can (28 ounces) crushed tomatoes
- 1 can (6 ounces) tomato paste
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 2 teaspoons dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves, chopped, for garnish
Instructions:
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat if necessary.
-
Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet with the cooked beef. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the onions are soft and translucent.
-
Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld together. Adjust seasoning to taste.
-
While the sauce is simmering, prepare your baking dish. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
-
Place a layer of oven-ready gluten-free lasagna noodles over the sauce, covering the bottom of the dish.
-
Spoon a layer of meat sauce over the noodles, followed by a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
-
Repeat the layers - noodles, meat sauce, and cheeses - until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.
-
Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes.
-
Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
-
Once baked, let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
-
Garnish with freshly chopped basil leaves before serving for a burst of flavor.
-
Serve the gluten-free oven-ready lasagna hot, and enjoy your delicious, comforting meal!
